Stewart Manor Country Club

I can’t send enough praise to Stewart Manor Country Club. The entire staff is incredibly personable, hard working, and absolutely excellent to work with. From the minute we walked through the doors at Stewart Manor to view the venue we were blown away at how great the staff was. The previous reviews are not exaggerating one bit. The staff really does treat you like family. John and Lisa helped us SO much with all of our questions and planning leading up to the big day and James is THE MAN. We told him our vision for the big day and he executed it with unmatched precision. He is so detail oriented, organized, and takes charge to make sure everything is just as you dreamt it to be. The bartenders and wait staff were incredible as well. No one went without a drink in their hand and our personal waitress made sure we were always cared for and got what we needed throughout the night. The venue is absolutely gorgeous. Just take a look at the flowers in the front and how amazing the ballroom is all done up. I can’t thank the staff at the venue enough. Stewart Manor was so amazing and magical. I highly recommend having your wedding here!!

Stewart Manor Country Club My wife and I had our wedding here and Stewart Manor Country Club was amazing! They were so accommodating to our dietary preferences, specifically we’re vegan. Cocktails hour and the dinner was all vegan. We had the pleasure of working with John, Lisa, and James and all were so friendly and nice. We also had our ceremony at Stewart Manor and it was absolutely beautiful. There was more than enough space for our 105 guests, and everyone had a great time. During our cocktail hour everyone enjoyed all the food and at this point the open bar was available for everyone. They were able to accommodate both our signature drinks, her’s (sparkling pumpkin rum punch) and mine (a non-alcoholic athletic IPA beer). Then in the reception there was so much room for the guests that danced. We also were allowed to have Lion Dancers as I am half Chinese. One of the main reasons why we picked Stewart manor is that there’s a separate handicapped bathroom section within the bathrooms for my family members that needed privacy. This was very comforting to know it exists and not worry about. Not to mention the 5 min walk from the Stewart Manor LIRR which makes it easy for any city folk to come and go. Another huge factor for both my wife and I was that since we’re both vegan we felt especially excited to work with James because he is also vegan. James made our special day wonderful and we were super happy to have help from him. He has so much experience and really knows what you need throughout the day. We’ve seen all the great reviews about James and all the great things are true! My now wife and I are so happy we picked Stewart Manor and recommend anyone to come here to get married.

My wife and I had our wedding reception at Stewart Manor in November 2023, and even to this day we are speechless and floored at just how amazing this venue and staff have been. From our initial booking of the venue, meeting with Lisa and John each time during planning was amazing. Every step of the way they were incredibly helpful, thoughtful and did their absolute best to make us feel like family, not just customers. That’s the on going theme and culture at Stewart Manor; it is not a wedding factory. You are their sole priority on your day and the week leading up. Attention to detail by James, the maitre de is second to none. We are sure that James would probably qualify for Sainthood, that is how helpful he is during your wedding week and the day of. As a perennial stressor, James made the entire night run flawlessly, guests were amazed and importantly I was able to thoroughly enjoy the entire day. From start to finish everyone we interacted with at Stewart did their best to not make it feel like we were “just another event.” The level of personalization they allow you to have, I am sure you will not find anywhere else. Now for the food… the food and cocktails, amazing! Cocktail hour is something we are still getting compliments on from guests! I truly wish I was able to eat more, however every single dish from start to finish was amazing. FYI: Get the Coney Island Station during cocktail hour!! Amrita and I cannot begin to thank John, Lisa and James enough for making our reception a night to remember. We will definitely be back should we need a venue for a future occasion, and I highly endorse and encourage all who are looking, to look no further than Stewart Manor Country Club when planning your next event. You will NOT be disappointed.

We had our wedding here a few days before Christmas. The first thing that I'll say is that the place only does one event at a time, so all of the attention is on you and your party. The owner John, the maitre d James, and Lisa treated my wife and I like family. The service was second to none and the food was excellent! The grounds and the dining hall were like a fairy tale! We highly recommend for any party and will be having all of our events there going forward.

My husband and I could not be happier with the hospitality, warmth, care, professionalism, and attention to detail that the team at Stewart Manor Country Club provided for our wedding. John, Lisa, and James (and Dani!) are absolutely amazing at what they do. Not only do they have the ability to execute any ideas that you may have, they have a wealth of knowledge (and seemingly endless warehouse of decorations) that they are more than happy to share to make your wedding day absolutely perfect. Leading up to our wedding, we gave James our general design plan and supplied decorations that we thought fit the theme (winter library), but otherwise gave little specific guidance on how to set up ceremony space or the various spaces within the venue (since we had neither the energy nor artistic eye to plan out those details). What James was able to put together for us was absolutely stunning and better than anything we could have imagined. In fact, we have had multiple guests describe the ambiance James was able to create for us as “stunning” and “magical.” On the day of our wedding, my husband and I wanted for nothing. Indeed, without ever having to ask for anything, the team at SMCC anticipated our every need. James, in particular, had everything we never knew we needed within arms reach (including, among other things, fashion tape, a scrunchy, and bobby pins, all of which James kept stored in his fashion-forward utility vest), and did everything he possibly could (including holding the train of my dress outside in the rain while we were outside smoking) to ensure my husband and I were as comfortable as possible. We’ve heard from many guests that their experience with SMCC’s team was no less amazing. Our guests all raved about the food, particularly the filet mignon and chicken francaise, and marveled at the table service for bar drinks (which seems all but unheard of these days). My husband happened to be partial to the spinach ravioli alfredo served with dinner, and I loved the mac & cheese included in the BBQ station and the buffalo chicken pizza included in the pizza station. When my husband and I were choosing between wedding venues, many venues we looked at seemed to be nothing more than wedding factories. Almost every venue we visited or contacted focused their sales pitch on one thing: what services they could sell us from their catalogue of cookie-cutter wedding options. SMCC was different. In fact, after a long day of visiting venues, we realized that Lisa of SMCC was the only person we had met at any venue who bothered to ask my husband and I about our relationship and our interests—e.g., how we met, how my husband had proposed, what we did for a living, what we did for fun, and what we were looking for in a wedding venue. It was this human touch that made SMCC stand out among the sea of venue options. And it is this human touch that I believe makes the team at SMCC excel at what they do. Simply put, the SMCC team cares, which makes all the difference. We highly recommend anyone looking for an intimate, personalized wedding with a human touch to check out SMCC!
